"Shack on the Sand" is Your Own Little Slice of Heaven
My husband and I have just spent a week at Shack on the Sand and had a wonderful time, everything you need is here, proximity to beach, amenities and entertainment are perfect. Delightful Floridian furnishings and clean and cozy too. This made such a change from staying in a hotel and we will most certainly be renting apartments again. Thanks Ann, for all your personal attention to client holiday needs. Hope to visit you again.
We loved, loved the condo! It was our cozy little hideaway for the week. We had not rented a car but when we wanted to eat out we were within walking distance of several restaurants, however, we were so comfortable we stayed close to home all week. The condo had everything we could have possibly needed from a sewing kit to a beach bag and coffee grinder. Previous tenants left items that we were welcome to use and we left some things for the next to use as well. Ann, the owner, was very pleasant and helpful by answering our questions before we arrived about shuttle service and bus service, good restaurants, etc. We enjoyed Crabby Bills and Jake's Sandwiches were awesome, as well as PJ's Oyster Bar. We took the trolley just a few steps from our condo to shopping at Johns Pass and spent an entire day there. We will most definitely return.
If you are looking for elegant, fancy or prestigious this is most likely not for you. However if you are looking for quaint, cozy, nice and comfortable and clean this is for you. Steps from the waters edge, snuggled in a relaxing setting. Everything you need is there. All the comforts of home plus a breathtaking view. The sunsets are so romantic. If you like seafood Crabby Bills is across the street or the best subs we've had at Jake's Sub Shop. Ann is a special person you meet once in a lifetime friendly, caring and trusting. Pack your bags and call Ann today you deserve it. This was our first of many visits to come.
Ann's place is PERFECT! As soon as we arrived, my daughter stated she felt like she was walking into someone's house. Ann has thought of everything. The kitchen had all that we needed. Towels were plentiful. She even provides beach towels and a variety of chairs and mats to use on the beach. This unit is perfect for a handicapped individual. No steps and a wonderful large shower. This beach home is clean and tastefully decorated. Looking forward to our next visit!
Ann's Shack on the Sand is far from a shack!! She has thought of everything you need in order to have a wonderful beach vacation. Leave your beach towels and other gear at home as she has it there waiting for you! This is a comfortable, clean, fully stocked beach house directly on the Gulf beach. Ann will come by to greet you upon your arrival to make sure you don't have any questions. Should you need anything during your stay, she is only a phone call away. I wish I had known about this great place sooner. In our many years of traveling to this area in Florida, this was the most comfortable, enjoyable place we have stayed. Cannot wait for our next visit!
I have been traveling to this area of Florida for the last 15 years and Ann's place is the best yet! It is clean, comfortable and perfectly located on the beach. In addition, she has thought of everything you need. Just bring your shorts, t-shirt and bathing suit. If Ann doesn't have it at the house, you probably don't need it! Cannot wait for our next visit!!
We had a most wonderful week at the Shack in November, it calmed our frayed nerves and restored peace and tranquility in just a few days. It is outstandingly well equipped, fabulously clean and has a tranquil and welcoming air. Although we didn't find the famous Crabby Bill's to our taste, we loved the nearby Guppys Restaurant - this is the place to enjoy wonderful food and relaxed staff and surroundings. The Shack has a local CVS store for quick daily needs, and the Sunshine Trolley gives easy access right along the coast from Clearwater and right down south. Make time to take a trip on Little Toot from Clearwater - they will find the dolphins for you. If you come from England, you need have no worries about booking the 'Shack', as a shack it certainly isn't! We'll definitely be back - hopefully many more times.

My husband and I just spent the most wonderful week at the Shack on the Sand! The beach was gorgeous and not at all crowded. The water was beautiful, different kind of waves every day. Dolphins swam by every morning. Beautiful, beautiful sunsets to watch every night. We were in unit #6 and the unit was all you could ask for and then some. Spacious rooms and a very comfortable bed. Awesome view from the patio. It was the most relaxing vacation I have ever been on. We didn't do much other than sit and read on the beach or play in the water all day long. Did visit Salt Rock Grill restaurant (19325 Gulf Blvd., about 5 minutes south) and had the most delicious Coconut Shrimp. Ann was a most gracious host and very easy to work with and contact. Can't wait to go back next summer!
Ann's Shack on the Sand is the most wonderful, quiet and relaxing get away destination. Delicious seafood is a one minute walk away at Crabby Bills. We brought take out back to the condo so we could stay in our suits and get right back to the beach. We got the most beautiful shells every morning and saw lots of sea life, including dolphins. The condo is sparkling clean and very homey. We can't wait to go back next year!

I have been to this condo three times. It is a cozy, comfortable place that suits my needs, exactly. I was able to find the peace and quiet I needed. No stress, no demands. I also liked very much, the fact that I felt safe there. I could even leave the patio doors open, after dark, without any worries. I love finding the new things that Ann puts in every year. She changes the decor, so I always know there will be something exciting awaiting me. The trolley stops outside the door (street side), so shopping is made extremely easy, if you can pull yourself away from the beach. I highly recommend the Shack on the Sand.

From the minute you walk through the door, you realize that “Shack on the Sand” is something special! The condo is so inviting that you can’t help but de-stress! I loved all of the special touches like the frosty mugs and big plush towels! My kids were overjoyed that they could step right out onto the beach and take a dip or search for sea life. Not only was the condo perfect, it was in the perfect location. We were just minutes from Clearwater and we loved the Suncoast Seabird Sanctuary and manatee cruise at Lowry Park Zoo. We’ll be back!
